Position Overview:

The School Psychologist will serve students in grades 6–8 and play a vital role in supporting student learning, mental health, and behavioral functioning. This position includes assessment, consultation, counseling, and collaboration with families, educators, and outside providers.

This is a long-term position to cover an extended leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines and laws.
  
  
• Participate in meetings, to include: IEP and Evaluation Teams, 504 Teams, and MTSS.
  
  
• Provide individual and group counseling services.
  
  
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement behavior and academic interventions.
  
  
• Support crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
  
  
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with the school district, state, and legal standards.
  
  
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  
  
• DESE Licensure as a School Psychologist Required; 3 years relevant experience preferred.
  
  
• Experience working in a middle school or with adolescents preferred
  
  
• Strong knowledge of special education law, assessment practices, and intervention strategies
  
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  
  
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
