Job Description
Looking for a self-motivated, energetic staff to work in a high volume and fast-paced kitchen. This position follows policies and procedures for preparing, serving, and distributing food items and meals to students and staff. This position is 37.5 hours per week and follows an academic calendar.

Primary Responsibilities include...
- Knowledge of food preparation and nutrition requirements.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation standards, including procedures to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste
- Basic bookkeeping and arithmetic skills
- Basic computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and web-based applications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, MSDS, recipe instructions, operating instructions, and procedural manuals

- Communicate orally and in writing with students, department employees, school faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Demonstrate pleasant, customer-oriented, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effectively supervise up to four cafeteria employees and work as a team member.
- Adapt to changes and take the initiative when leading staff
- Use a Point of Sale system and register
- Lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Perform a variety of tasks on time.
- You must be dependable.
Successful candidates will require a CORI and SAFIS Fingerprinting Background check.
