Sharon Public Schools is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant for RISE program at Sharon High School.

 

The RISE Program is a specialized full inclusion program at Sharon High School. RISE services multi-grade students who have Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders. The RISE program supports students in their general education classes. Academic, behavioral and social/emotional supports and interventions are provided in the RISE program classroom. The Instructional Assistants provide academic/behavioral support as well as take data collection.

Job Description

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum high school diploma, (two years post-high school education, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred) 

 

REPORT TO: Building Principal/ Assistant Principal, (Director of Student Services, )

 

General Description: To assist teachers in providing students with a nurturing, supportive and collaborative environment where curriculum and instruction are aligned to standards and the needs of each child. Responsibilities will vary according to the school, students, and program /classroom where the instructional assistant is assigned.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

On the job training as well CPI (Crisis intervention and De-Escalation) training is provided.

Pay is commensurate with experience based on the collective bargaining agreement.

Monday through Friday 7:45am - 3:00pm
