Job Title: Long-Term Substitute School Psychologist

Position Overview:
The School Psychologist will serve students in grades 6–8 and play a vital role in supporting student learning, mental health, and behavioral functioning. This position includes assessment, consultation, counseling, and collaboration with families, educators, and outside providers.
This is a long-term position to cover an extended leave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines and laws.
- Participate in meetings, to include: IEP and Evaluation Teams, 504 Teams, and MTSS.
- Provide individual and group counseling services.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement behavior and academic interventions.
- Support crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with the school district, state, and legal standards.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- DESE Licensure as a School Psychologist Required; 3 years relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working in a middle school or with adolescents preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education law, assessment practices, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
